Action Forums

As part of the "Knowledge to Action" theme, conference organizers have planned several Action Forums that will create space for interactive discussions on critical issues facing the Polar Regions. These discussions will integrate views and perspectives from a variety of sectors, including industry, policy, civil society, community members and others. The Action Forums will be organized as interactive roundtables, with senior thought leaders and practitioners interacting with each other and the audience to address the key challenges and opportunities related to the session theme.

Action Forums will be held on the following topics:

•  Mining and Major Project Development in an Arctic Context
•  Polar Engagement
•  Improving Access to Quality and Sustainable Health Care in Arctic Communities

•  Towards Sustainable Polar Fisheries and Marine Areas
•  Building Sustainable Community Infrastructure for the 21st Century
•  The Momentum Series: Generating and sharing future polar knowledge
