Poster Guidelines

All of the posters will be presented in the poster hall on the 2nd floor of the Palais des Congrès de Montréal from Monday, April 23rd until the take down in the afternoon on to Thursday, April 26th. As part of the IPY 2012 Conference, there will be dedicated poster sessions each day from 17:00 -19:00. Presenters will be notified of the day they will be expected to attend their posters.

A complete list of assigned poster boards will be available onsite.

Surface Availability

Each poster may be a maximum of 104 cm high x 145 cm wide (41" x 57") landscape orientation only. Posters must be printed on coated or uncoated paper that accepts Velcro (provided). A supply of Velcro will be available in the poster area for mounting your poster.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Authors are asked to not exceed their surface allocation, as they will be encroaching on another author's assigned space.

Suggested Formatting Guidelines

1. Poster material must be prepared in advance and should be legible from a distance of one meter.
2. Each poster should have a label at the top that indicates the title of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliation(s). The size of the characters for the title should be at least 2.5 cm (1") high.
3. Drawings and charts should be clear and simple.
4. A suggested arrangement for posters is illustrated below:
